Rahul paid Rs 5,400 as interest after 3 years. paid full amount to bank with interest Returned. Pritam, however, repaid his loan with interest after 4 years and 4 months, So how much did he pay in the bank ?

Answer :-

→ Sum borrowed by Rahul = Rs.10000

→ Time = 3 years.

→ Interest paid = Rs.5400

so,

→ Rate = (SI * 100) / (P * T) = (5400 * 100) / 10000 * 3 = 18% .

now,

→ Sum borrowed by Pritam = Rs.10000

→ Time = 4 years , 4 months = 4(4/12) = 4(1/3) = (13/3) years .

then,

→ Interest paid by Pritam = (P * R * T)/100 = (10000 * 18 * 13)/(3 * 100) = Rs.7800 .

therefore,

→ Total amount paid by Pritam = P + SI = 10000 + 7800 = Rs.17800 (3) (Ans.)
