Question

7. Sahil ran a distance of 1.5 km and his younger sister could only run 500 m. Express the distance as ratio.

ANSWER :

Distance ran by Sahil = 1.5 km

                                    = 1500 m      [ as, 1 km = 1000 m ]

Now,

To be found :-

Ratio of distance ran by Sahil to his sister.

= \frac{1500}{500}

= \frac{3}{1}

= 3:1

Hence,

Ratio of distance ran by Sahil to his sister is 3:1

HEY MATE !!
GOOD MORNING
distance cover by sahil= 1.5 km (1500m)
distance covered by his sister=500m
therefore ratio between sahil and his sister
= 1500:500

hence the ratio between the distance of Sahil and his sister equal to 3 : 1
