Answer:

Area of square = (16)² = 256sq.cm

Length of rectangle = 32cm

Let breadth be x cm

Area = 32x sq.cm

B.T.P,

32x = 256

or, x = 256/32

or, x = 8

So breadth of rectangle is 8cm

Answer:

The area of a square of side 16 cm is the same as that of a rectangle of length 32 cm. Find its breadth.

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a square of side = 16 cm

         s x s                = 16 x 16

                                 = 256

The area of square = The area of rectangle

            256            =   l x b

             256          =  32 x b

              b             =   256 / 32

       breadth        = 8 cm
