Hey friend,

Here is the solution :-

Let the Breadth be x metres and therefore the Length be x+4 metres and Area is given as 480 square metres.

area \: of \: the \: rectangle \: = length \times breadth \\ \\ 480 = (x + 4)x \\ \\ = > {x}^{2} + 4x = 480 \\ \\ = > {x}^{2} + 4x - 480 = 0 \\ \\ now \: by \: splitting \: the \: middle \: term : \\ \\ = > {x}^{2} + 24x - 20x - 480 = 0 \\ \\ = > x(x + 24) - 20(x + 24) = 0 \\ \\ = > (x + 24)(x - 20) = 0 \\ \\ = > x + 24 = 0 \\ x = - 24 \\ \\ = > x - 20 = 0 \\ x = 20

So, the Breadth of the rectangular field is 20 metres.

✨I hope this will help you....✨
