Area of cube with edge 3cm = 6×3×3 = 54

Area of cube with edge 4cm = 6×4×4 = 96

Area of cube with edge 12cm = 6×12×12 = 864

Surface area of the bigger cube = 54+96+864 = 1014

Now according to question, 6a² = 1014

a² = 1014/6 = 169

a = √169 = 13cm
