Recoiling of gun involves Newton's third law of motion i.e.- "For,every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction".

Recoiling of gun means the the moving of the rifle backwards with some velocity due to the force required to accelerate the bullet from the gun.

Here, the force that is required to accelerate the bullet is the action, and due to which a reaction occurs and the rifle moves in the opposite direction with some velocity.

This,is all about recoiling of gun and law involved in it.

When the bullet is fired from the gun, it experiences a force in forward direction (action) , as a result the gun exerts a backward force (reaction) on the shoulder. Thus, it is in accordance with Newton’s 3rd law of motion.
