When a nail contains iron metal is dipped in copper sulphate then the iron displaces the copper from copper sulphate and forms ferrous sulphate. -The reaction in the form of the word equation is as follows. Iron + Copper sulphate → Iron sulphate or ferrous sulphate + Copper.
