Given that ,
There are 70 coins of 10 paise and 50 paise
Therefore,
x+ y = 50 -----(1)
And Total amount is
19 rupees = 1900 paise
Therefore,
10x + 50y = 1900
=> x + 5 y = 190 -----(2)
Subtracting eq(1) from (2), We get
x + 5y - (x - y) = 190 - 50
x + 5y - x - y = 140
=> 4y = 140
=> y = 140/4
=> y = 35
Putting y = 35 in eq(1), We get
x + 35 = 50
=> x = 50 - 35
=> x = 15
Hence,
Number of 10 paise coin is 15
And number of 50 paise coin is 35
