70
let the number of 2 rupees coins be y.
so the number of 5 rupees coins will be 70-y.

The total money in the purse is rupees 230.
Therefore,

2 Rupees  × No of 2 Rupees coins + 5 Rupees  × No of 5 Rupees coins =230
Rupees

2 × y + 5 (70-y) = 230
2y + 350 - 5y = 230
2y -5y = 230-350
-3y = -120
y = -120÷ (-1 / 3)
y = 40

so no of 2  Rupees  coins is 40.
And no of 5 Rupees coins is(70-40)= 30

Answer:

2  Rupees coins are 40.

5 Rupees coins is(70-40)= 30

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number of 2 rupees coins be y.

so the number of 5 rupees coins will be 70-y.

The total money in the purse is rupees 230.

Therefore,

2 Rupees  × No of 2 Rupees coins + 5 Rupees  × No of 5 Rupees coins =230

Rupees

2 × y + 5 (70-y) = 230

2y + 350 - 5y = 230

2y -5y = 230-350

-3y = -120

y = -120÷ (-1 / 3)

y = 40

so the of 2  Rupees coins is 40.

And no of 5 Rupees coins is(70-40)= 30
