Given that :-

  • Total number of students = 750

  • Let the number of rows be x then;

  • Number of students in each row → x -5

According to the question :-

The number of students are arranged equally which means;

 \\  \\  \sf \: x \times (x - 5) = 750 \\  \\  \\

Solution :

 \sf x \times (x - 5) = 750 \\  \\  \sf {x}^{2}  - 5x - 750 = 0 \\  \\  \sf {x}^{2}  - 30x + 25x - 750 = 0 \\  \\  \sf \: x(x  - 30) + 25(x - 30) \\  \\  \sf(x + 25)(x - 30) \\  \\  \\    \red{\boxed{\sf \: values \: of \: x =  - 25,30}}

As number of rows cant be negative so.

The number of rows = 30

And the number of students in each row = x - 5

30 - 5

25 Student in each row.

I hope it helps.
