GCD (Greatest common divisior) (HCF) (Highest Common Factor) of two or more numbers= Product of the smallest Power of each common prime factor involved in the numbers.

SOLUTION :

765, 65

Prime factors of 765 = 5¹ × 3² × 17¹

Prime factors of 65 = 5¹ × 13¹

GCD (765, 65) = 5¹ = 5

Hence, the GCD is 5

By Euclid DIVISION lemma : a = bq +r

765, 65

765 > 65

765 = 65×11 + 50

65 = 50 × 1 + 15

50 = 15× 3 + 5

15 = 5×3 + 0

The last non zero divisior is 5

Hence, GCD(765, 65) = 5
