7x - 3y = 11.....i)

5x - 2y = 8......ii)

Solution :-

MULTIPLYING 1st equation by 2

& 2nd equation by 3

14x - 6y = 22....iii)

15x - 6y = 24....iv)

SUBSTRACTIN equation iii) from equation iv)

therefore,

15x - 6y = 24

-

14× - 6y = 22

____________

x = 2

SUBSTITUTING x = 2 in equation ii)

5x - 2y = 8

5 × 2 - 2y = 8

10 - 2y. = 8

- 2y = 8 - 10

- 2y = -2

y =  \frac{2}{2}

y = 1

X = 2 , Y = 1
