=> 7x+6y = 3800 )×3
=>3x+5y=1750)×7

EQ 1 AND 2 ARE

21X +18Y =11400
21x+35y=12250
_ _ _
_______________

-17y = -850

y = 50
-----------
put y in EQ 1

=> 7x+ 6(50)=3800

=> 7x +300=3800

=> 7x=3800-300

7x = 3500

=>x= 3500/7

x= 500

The value of x and y are 500 and 50 respectively.

Given:

7x +6y=3800

3x+5y =1750

To Find:

The value of x and y.

Solution:

We are required to find the value of x and y.

7x+6y=3800  ------(1)

3x+5y =1750   -------(2)

Multiply equation(1) by 5

35x+30y = 19000  -------(3)

Multiply equation(2) by 6

18x+30y = 10500  -------(4)

on subtracting equation(3) and equation(4)

35x+30y = 19000

-18x-30y = -10500

17x = 8500

x = 8500/17

x = 500

Substitute the value of x in equation(2) we get y as

3(500)+5y = 1750

5y = 1750-1500

5y = 250

y = 250/5

y = 50

Therefore, The value of x and y are 500 and 50 respectively.
