To Find : a)What is the distance between pot A and pot B
b) Which geometrical figure is formed by pots A,B,C and D?
c) Prabhjot wants to place pot F exactly in between Pots A(2,4) and C (8,10). Where should he place it ?
d) What is distance between pots B and E?
Solution:
A = ( 2 , 4)
B = ( 2 , 10)
C = ( 8 , 10)
D = ( 8 , 4)
E = ( 5 , 15)
distance between pot A and pot B
A = ( 2 , 4) , B = ( 2 , 10)
= √(2 - 2)² + ( 10 - 4)²
= 6 m
distance between pot A and pot B = 6 m
geometrical figure is formed by pots A,B,C and D
AB = BC = CD = AD = 6 m
& lines are perpendicular
SQUARE is formed
Pot F exactly in between Pots A(2,4) and C (8,10).
= (2 + 8)/2 , ( 4 + 10)/2
= 5 , 7
distance between pots B and E
B = ( 2 , 10) , E = ( 5 , 15)
√(5 - 2)² + ( 15 - 10)²
√9 + 25
= √34 m
