8,17,35,62,98,141,..nd so on... each step can be consider as no.+9,no.+18 ,no.+27 ......where no. is 18

8 + 9 = 17

17 + 18 = 35

35 + 27 = 62

then

62 + 36 = 98

so next number is 98
