8.1g of ice at 0 degree c and 1 g of water at 40 degree c are mixed what is the resultant temperature

Answer:

lets take 1g of ice as A and 1 g of water as B

temp. of A = 0° C

temp. of B = 40° C

resultant temperature is given as the average of the temperatures of the two substances .

Tf = Ta + Tb / 2

   = 0 + 40 / 2

   = 20

Hence the resultant temperature will be 20°C
