8. A body of volume 100 cmweighs 1 kgf in air. Find :
(i) its weight in water and (ii) its relative density.​

volume of body = 100 cube 3

weight in ear , W ,1 = 1 kgf =1000 g f

mass of body = 1 kg = 1000 g

R. D of solid = 10

R. D of water = 1

(1) Let's W, 1 be the weight of the body in water

R. D 9f the body = w, 1 / w, 1- w, 2 ( r. d of the water

or 10 = 1000/ (1000- w, 2 ) multiple 1

or 10 (1000 - w2 )=1000

w2 = 900 gf

(2) R. D of th body = density in C. G. S

without unit

R. D = mass / volume = 1000/ 100 = 10
