10.00 a.m. If he walks at a speed of 3 km/h for the
first kilometre, at what speed should he walk the

Explanation:

v = 3km/hr = 5/6 m/s

s = 1 km =1000 m

s = v*t

t = s/v

=1000/(5/6)

t=1200s =20 min

remaining 1 km he has to walk in 10 min

so new v = s/remaining t

= 1000/ 600

new v = 5/3 m/s = 6 km/hr
