Answer:

We know that sliding friction is greater than rolling friction .When tyres are not properly inflated , they become a bit flat and sliding contact of tyres increases , which results in more fuel consumption . But , if the tyres are properly inflated sliding contact with the road decreases and rolling friction comes into play , which saves the fuel .
