Mass number shows the sum of total number of proton and neutron.

Isotopes are atoms of the same element having the same atomic number but different mass numbers.

Uses of isotopes:

1) Radioactive isn't are uses as a fuel in nuclear reactors of nuclear power plants for generating electricity.

2)They are also used in the treatement of cancer.

Isobars are the atoms of the different elements having different atomic number but the same mass number.
