8. Find the perimeter of a parallelogram of area
288 m2. Altitude on smaller side is twice the
side and larger side has an altitude of 8 m.​

Answer: It is given to us that the area of the //gm is 288m^2

Let the larger side be a and the smaller side be b.

Also, it is given that the altitude on side a is 8m and the altitude on side b is 2b

So, area of //gm= l×b

288=a×8

So, a is 36m

//ly 288=b×2b

288=2b^2

So b is 12

As we have the length and the breadth of the //gm, we can find it's perimeter

Perimeter= 2(12+36)

=96m

Hence the answer is 96m
