The answer is 11 days and 2.5 hours.( if it was 49 day instead of 39 days then the answer will come as 14 days that is easy for calculation). It is for those who has solved it .

8 men = 6 boys (acc. to question both take 39 days to complete it). Then 1 boy has capicity of 8/6 means 4/3 of men ‘s capacity.

Either change the number of boys into men or men to boys as 4 men + 18 boys = 21 boys or 28 men.

Then question will become as 6 boys take 39 days to complete the work then in how many days 21 boys will complete it?

So group of 6 boys complete the work in 39 days then 21 boys obviously take less time that is 39/(21/6)= (39×2)/7 which is almost equal to 11.11 days.
