1.When water drips from a tap at the rate of 4 drops every 3 seconds, volume of one drop

of water is 0.4 cm^3 and the dripped water is collected in a cylindrical vessel with the outer

diameter & uniform thickness of this vessel being 10cm& lcm respectively. Time required to fill the vessel completely if it's height is 70 cm is:

i.Given that the velocity of the falling drops is 4 drops per 3 seconds.

ii. The volume of each drop is 0.4cm^3.

iii. The volume of the vessel is {pi × (10-2)^2×70} = 3520cm^3.

iv. The ratio of volume of vessel to volume of drop gives the number of drops required.

v. 3520/0.4 =8800 drops are required to fill the vessel.

vi. The time required to fill the vessel t =8800/velocity =6600 sec =110 min.

2. If A, B & C are three non-collinear points such that distance between point A and

point B is 7 cm, distance between point B and point C is 6 cm, distance between

point A and point C is 7 cm. A circle passing through all these points and another circle is drawn with radius 2 cm touching the first circle

internally at a point.

i.Since A,B and C are noncollinear they form a triangle and also lie on a circle.

ii. A circle is drawn with points A, B and C, along with another internal circle of radius 2cm.
