Answer:

Area of triangle = S(S−a)(S−b)(S−c)

S=2a+b+c

Given a=7 cm

b=9 cm

c=14 cm

S=27+9+14

=230

S=15cm

∴ Area of triangle = S(S−a)(S−b)(S−c)

=15(15−7)(15−9)(15−14)

=15.8.6.1

=720

=3×144

=12×12×5

=125cm2

∴ Area of triangle = 12.5 cm2

So, the answer is A. 12.5 cm2

Question

  • The area of a triangle whose sides are 7cm, 9cm and 14cm is?

Answer

  • Area of triangle is 125cm²

Given

  • Sides are :- 7cm, 9cm and 14cm

To Calculate

  • Area of triangle __?

Explanation

Sides are 7cm , 9cm and 14cm

Semi perimeter = a+b+c /2

↝ 7+9+14 /2

↝ 30/2

↝ 15cm

Using Heron's formula

Area \:  of  \: triangle  = \sqrt{s(s - a)(s -b)(s - c)}

Putting values,

⟹ \sqrt{15(15 - 7)(15 - 9)(15 - 14)}

⟹ \:  \sqrt{15 \times 8 \times 6 \times 1}

⟹ \sqrt{720}

 ⟹\sqrt{3 \times 144}

⟹ \sqrt{12 \times 12 \times 5}

⟹12 \sqrt{5} cm ^{2}
