8. The sides of a rectangle are in the ratio 5 : 4 and its perimeter is 108 cm. Find the length and breadth of the
rectangle.

Let the sides be 5x and 4x. So given perimeter is 108cm.

So, 2(5x+4x)=108

9x=54cm => x=6cm

So the sides are 30cm and 24cm.
