as they are moving perpendicular to each other so

as per Pythagorean theorem

√(6²+6²)=√72= 6√2 km.

Answer:

6√2 km

Step-by-step explanation:

if 1 travel distance towards west and other towards north then they form an angle of 90°. using pythagorus theorem ;

(6)^2 + (6)^2 = (s)^2

36 +36 = s^2

72 = s^2

s = √72

s = 6√2 km
