They Should Walk From A Minimum Of 180cm

GIVEN

steps of the first person = 45cm

Steps of the second person = 60 cm

TO FIND

Minimum distance each should walk so that they can cover the complete steps.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows-

To find out the minimum distance both the person should walk so that they cover equal distance will be equal to the length of their respective steps.

That is,

Minimum distance = LCM of the length of their steps.

LCM of 45 and 60 = 2×3×5×5 = 180

Hence, they should walk from a minimum of 180cm
