Dear Student,

As, 2H2 + O2 → 2H2O

So, 2 moles of hydrogen react with one mole of oxygen to form 2 moles of water.

By Gay-Lussac’s law,

1 mL of oxygen reacts with every 2 mL of hydrogen.

So, 2 mL of oxygen react with 4 mL of hydrogen.

Therefore, VO2(original)=VO2(remaining)+VO2(reacted)

Hence, VO2(original)=8+2=10 mL

I hope it helps you✔❤
