8000J of heat is given to 200g of copper at 20 degree celcius. what is the final temperature,if the specific heat capacity of copper is 0.4J/g degree celcius.

S = q/nΔT

here s = 0.4 j/g

n = 200

q = 8000 j

then

let final temp = x

x - T = q/Sn = 8000/0.4×200 = 8000/80 = 100

then

x = 100+T = 100+20 =120 °C
