mass of methanol= 8g

molar mass of methanol

=C + 4(H) +O

=12+4+16

=32g

moles

= mass of CH3OH / molar mass CH3OH

= 8/32

=1/4

moles = mass of H / molar mass of H

mass of H = moles × molar mass

mass of H= 1/4×1

mass of H =1/4

mass of 4 H = 4/4 =1 g

moles =mass of C / molar mass of C

mass of C = moles × molar mass

mass of C= 1/4×12

mass of C =3g

moles =mass of O / molar mass of O

mass of H = moles × molar mass

mass of H= 1/4×16

mass of H =4g
