If y = 4 ...then if we put this value in the given eqn. we get,

=> 8x - 2×4 = 48
=> 8x - 8 = 48
=> 8x = 48+8
=> 8x = 56
=> x = 7

y = 4

To find :-

The value of x

Solution :-

Putting the value of y in eqⁿ (1)

8x – 2(4) = 48

8x – 8 = 48

8x = 48 + 8

8x = 56

x =  \frac{56}{8}


x = 7
