8x + 2y = 7

solution :- 8x + 2y = 7

Solving

8x + 2y = 7

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-2y' to each side of the equation.

8x + 2y + -2y = 7 + -2y

Combine like terms: 2y + -2y = 0

8x + 0 = 7 + -2y

8x = 7 + -2y

Divide each side by '8'.

x = 0.875 + -0.25y

Simplifying

x = 0.875 + -0.25y

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2x + 8y = 13

solution :- 2X + 8Y = 13

Solving

2X + 8Y = 13

Solving for variable 'X'.

Move all terms containing X to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-8Y' to each side of the equation.

2X + 8Y + -8Y = 13 + -8Y

Combine like terms: 8Y + -8Y = 0

2X + 0 = 13 + -8Y

2X = 13 + -8Y

Divide each side by '2'.

X = 6.5 + -4Y

Simplifying

X = 6.5 + -4Y

Given equations,

8x+2y=7(eq-1),2x+8y=13(eq-2)

multiply 4 with eq-2

(eq-1)-(eq2)

8x+2y=7

8x+32y=52

=-30y=-45

y=45/30

y=3/2

substitute y value in (eq-2)

2x+8×3/2=13

2x+12=13

2x=13-12

x=1/2
