$8 {x}^{2} + 6x - 5 = 0 \\ \\ 8 {x}^{2} + 10x - 4x - 5 = 0 \\ \\ 2x(4x + 5) - 1(4x - 5) = 0 \\ \\ (2x - 1)(4x + 5) = 0$

Take

2x-1=0 and 4x+5=0

2x=1 and 4x=-5

$x = \frac{1}{2} \: \: \: \: and \: \: \: x = \frac{ - 5}{4}$

Hence the root of x =

$\frac{1}{2} , \frac{ - 5}{4}$
