Given:

9/2x=5+x^2

To Solve:

The equation through factorization method.

Solution:

Given that 9x/2 = 5 + x²

Multiplying both sides by 2, we get:

  • 9x = 10  + 2x²
  • 2x² -9x + 10 = 0
  • Let a and b be the roots of the equation.

Here product of a and b .

  • ab = 20

Sum of products, a + b = 9

Therefore We can split - 9 as -5 -4 .

Product of - 5 and - 4 is 20.

Hence,

  • 2x² -4x -5x +10 = 0
  • 2x(x - 2) -5(x -2) = 0
  • (2x - 5 )(x -2) = 0
  • x =5/2 and x =2  are the solutions.

Solutions of 9/2x=5+x^2 , through factorisation method is x =5/2 and

x =2.
