see ,the following series is an ultimate sum of last two numbers I.e.. the next number comes after the digit sum of the result of the sum of the last two numbers
For Example
9,8 ,
the next jumber will be 17 then the sum of the digits 1+7 =8
after 9,8 ,8, 7 .......
so the answer to ur series is
a=7+9=16 =1+6=7
a = 7 Ans.
