why dont solid substances diffuse

To diffuse, substances need a considerable amount of kinetic energy.

Solids have strong forces of attraction between it's particles. So, solids possess very low kinetic energy which is not sufficient for it's particles to diffuse.

Therefore, most of the solids do not diffuse.
