Selling Price = 0.9 * C ( 1 + 0.01X)

Profit earned 17 % on Cost Price

Profit = (17/100)C = 0.17C

Selling Price = C + 0.17C = 1.17C

1.17C = 0.9 * C ( 1 + 0.01X)

=> 1.3 = 1 + 0.01X

=> 0.3 = 0.01X

=> 30 = X
