Given that,

Initial speed of race scooter, u = 18.5 m/s

Final speed of race scooter, v = 46.1 m/s

Time, t = 2.47 s

To find,

The acceleration of the scooter and the distance travelled.

Solution,

The change in velocity divided by time is equal to acceleration of an object. So,

a=\dfrac{v-u}{t}\\\\a=\dfrac{46.1-18.50}{2.47}\\\\a=11.17\ m/s^2

Let d is the distance travelled. So,

d=\dfrac{v^2-u^2}{2a}\\\\d=\dfrac{(46.1)^2-(18.5)^2}{2\times 11.17}\\\\d=79.81\ m

So, the acceleration is 11.17 m/s² and distance travelled is 79.81 m.
