Given : (a) 7cm,3cm,4cm (b) 3.6cm,11.5cm,6.9cm (c) 5.2cm,7.6cm,4.7cm (d )

3.3cm,8.5cm,3.9cm

To Find : In which condition triangle can be constructed

Solution:

For Given three Sides of a triangle

Sum of any two Sides Grater then third Side

Difference of any two sides less than third side

(a) 7cm,3cm,4cm

7 = 3 + 4

Hence can not form a triangle

(b) 3.6cm,11.5cm,6.9cm

3.6 + 6.9 = 10.5   < 11.5

Hence can not form a triangle

(c) 5.2cm,7.6cm,4.7cm

5.2 + 4.7 > 7.6

4.7 + 7.6 > 5.2

5.2 + 7.6 > 4.2

Hence can  form a triangle

(d )   3.3cm,8.5cm,3.9cm

3. 3 + 3.9  = 7.2 < 8.5

Hence can not form a triangle
