B C

The lenght of the tree = AB + AC = 15m

The angle made by tree with ground at C,

∆C = 60⁰

Here, sinC = AB/AC

Let AB = a then, AC = 15-a

sin60⁰ = a/(15-a)

√3/2 = a/(15-a)

15√3 - a√3 = 2a

15√3 = a(2+√3)

a = 15√3 / (2+√3)

a = 9.5 m
