Well, I don't think that the statement is true.

We all know that plants take CO2 and give O2 at morning but changes the process at night time.

But there're some plants and trees which does the process in opposite way.

Take for example the congress which takes O2 and gives out CO2.

Answer:yes because during day the sunlight is present which is helpful in process of photosynthesis through which oxygen is released and during night there is no sunlight so photosynthesis process does not occur , plant are also living thing means they respire at night( it means release of CO2 and intake of oxygen) and give out oxygen during day
