Answer:

Given:

Radius (r1) of hemisphere =4.2 cm

Radius (r2) of cylinder =6 cm

Height (h) = ?

The object fromed by recasting the hemisphere will be same in volume.

So, Volume of sphere = Volume of cylinder

34πr13=πr22h

⟹34π×(4.2)3=π(6)2h

⟹34×364.2×4.2×4.2=h

h=(1.4)3=2.74 cm

Therefore, the height of cylinder so formed will

Given info : A cylinder of radius 42 cm and height 6cm is melt and formed many cones of radius 3.5 cm and height 2cm.

To find : the number of cones that can be obtained by melting of the cylinder.

solution : let n cones are formed by melting the cylinder.

so, volume of cylinder = n × volume of cone.

⇒π × R² × H = n × π × r² × h/3

⇒(42cm)² × (6cm) = n × (3.5 cm)² × (2cm)/3

⇒n = (42 × 42 × 6 × 3)/(3.5 × 3.5 × 2)

= 12 × 12 × 9

= 144 × 9

= 1296

Therefore 1296 cones that can be obtained by melting of the cylinder.
