To find:-

•Value of a²+1/a²

Solution:-

Squaring both the sides,in the equation a-1/a=5,we get--

=>(a-1/a)²=(5)²

We know that (a-b)²=a²+b²-2ab

=>a²+1/a²-2×a×1/a=25

=>a²+1/a²-2=25

=>a²+1/a²=25+2

=>a²+1/a²=27

Thus,value of a²+1/a² is 27.
