Correct Question :-

The area of trapezium is 450m^2 , The distance between two parallel sides is 10m and one of the parallel side is 15m. Find the another parallel side of trapezium?

Given :-

● The Area of trapezium = 450m^2

● The distance between two parallel sides is 10m

● Length of the one parallel side of trapezium = 15m

Solution :-

Here ,

Area of trapezium = 450m^2

Length of one parallel side of trapezium = 10m

Height of trapezium = 10m

As we know that,

Area of trapezium = 1/2 ( a + b) * h

Put the required values in the given formula,

450m^2 = 1/2 * ( 15 + b) * 10

450 = ( 15 + b) * 5

450 = 75 + 5b

450 - 75 = 5b

375 = 5b

b = 375/5

b = 75

Hence, The other parallel side of trapezium is 75 m

Formula kept in mind :-

● Area of trapezium = 1/2 ( a + b) *h

Here , a and b are parallel sides of trapezium

H is the distance between two parallel sides or height of the trapezium .
