9. Kate bought some sticky tape to wrap some presents. The sticky tape was 5 m
long. She used 12 cm to tape each present.
(a) What was the greatest number of presents she could wrap?
(b) What was the length of sticky tape left? Give your answer in centimetres.

Given -

length of sticky tape = 5m

used 12cm to wrap each present

to find -

how many number of presents she could wrap

so 1m = 100cm

:- 5m = 500cm

number of presents she could wrap are

500/12

= 41

length of sticky tape left

= 0.666cm
