9. Take few iron nails and store some of them in an air tight container having sil
gel. Leave the rest of the iron nails in a test tube and place them outside in the
weather. Observe the iron nails after a week.
a. What will happen to the nails placed in the air tight container and in the test
tube?
b. Which way would you prefer to keep iron nails?​

a. the nails is placed in air tight contaner the moisture cannot act on iron nail so it prevent the rusting of iron. if we can put iron nale in outside weather there is oxygen and moisture which act on iron nail so there is pssiblety of rusting of iron.

a. Nails placed in the air tight container will remain unaffected and no rust would beformed on them due to absence of moisture. Nails placed outside in the test tube

would react with oxygen and moisture and formed rust.
