Given : The length of a rectangle is 3/2 times of its breadth and the perimeter is 180 m.

To Find : The length and breadth?

ㅤ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

❍ Let us assume, that the breadth of the rectangle is 'x'. Then, length of the rectangle will be \sf{ \dfrac{3x}{2} }.

As we know,

\bf{ \red\bigstar \: \fbox{Perimeter_{(Rectangle)} = 2(l + b)} \: \red\bigstar }

Where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth

\sf{∴  \: 2 \bigg( \dfrac{3x}{2} + x \bigg) = 180 }

\sf{3x + 2x= 180}

\sf{5x = 180}

\sf{x = \dfrac{ \cancel{180}^{ \: 36} }{ \cancel{5}_{ \: 1} } }

\color{green}{\bf{x = 36}}

Therefore,

➲ Breadth = x = 36 m

Length = 3x/2 = 54 m
