Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B)

                                      = 2(24+16)

                                      = 2 × 40

                                      = 80 cm

Perimeter of square = 4 × s

80 = 4 × s

s = 80 / 4

s = 20 cm

Area of square= s²

                        =20²

                        =400  cm²

Answer:-

Length of the rectangle- 24cm

breadth of the rectangle - 16cm

perimeter :-2(l+b)

=> 2(24+16)

=> 2*40

=> 80cm

so, perimeter of the square is also 80 cm.

perimeter of the square =80

4a=80

a=80/4

=20 cm(side)

area of the square =s^2=20*20=400

hope this will help
