Step-by-step explanation:

The answer will be 5 ..... EXPLANATION is below......

Perimeter of square =40 cm

Let the side be x

A.T.Q,

Perimeter of a square = 4 × sides

40 cm = 4x

4x = 40 cm

X = 40 / 4

X = 10 cm

So, area of the square,

Side × side m square = 10 × 10 cm

= 100 cm square

Area of square = Area of rectangle

100 cm square = 100 cm square

In the rectangle,

Length = 20 cm

Breadth = x

Area = 100 cm square

A. T. Q,

Length × breadth = Area

20 × X = 100

20 x = 100

X = 100 / 20

X = 5 cm

I hope this helps (^.^)

Answer: 5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the perimeter of a square = 40 cm

ie, 4 x side of square = 40

ie,side of square = 40/4

                            = 10 cm

∴Area of square = side²

                           = 10²

                           = 100 cm²

Also, it is given that, rectangle with length 20 cm has the same area as that of this square

Area of rectangle = length x breadth = 100 cm²

ie, l x b = 100

ie, 20 x b = 100

ie, b = 100/20

ie, b = 5 cm
