How many minutes will it require to fill the whole
tank?​

Solution:-

Let the total volume of tank be x

According to question

2/3 of tank is filled

By the use of given data we form equation

$\bf \: \frac{2}{3} x = 18$

$x = \bf \frac{18 \times 3}{2}$

$\bf \: x \: = 27$

So volume of tank is 27 units

So 18 unit is filled in 18 min

And 9 unit filled in 18 min , we get

=> 9 + 18 = 27 unit
